Trees 8th Annual Toys for Tots Concert
‘Tis the season to be metal. Drowning Pool concluded their “Not-So-Silent Night tour with an annual stop at Trees, in Deep Ellum for the 8th Annual U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Concert on Friday December 23rd, 2016.

Drowning Pool, along with 9Electric, Adakain, Red Tide Rising, 5 Billion and Counting and Anova put on a killer show for a sold out crowd. Trees owner, Clint Barlow, teamed up with the U.S. Marine Reserves in 2008 to support their Toys for Tots program to help needy children who otherwise may not have a gift to open on Christmas day. A natural choice to headline the show then, and certainly now are local rockers Drowning Pool.

The holidays are about family, and there isn’t a better way to describe the atmosphere at Trees on Friday. The bands and fans came together, in support of the kids as well as our men and women in uniform, in a way that you just can’t experience anywhere like you can at Trees.
