Dallas, TX – Heart fans packed the Gexa Energy Pavillon Thursday night even as the rain kept falling. “Rock Hall Three for All” was the titled tour featuring Cheap Trick, Joan Jett and the headliner Heart.
The Wilson sisters, Ann and Nancy, have been rocking fans for over four decades. Having sold 35 million albums, including 20 top 40’s hits, it is no wonder a little rain did not stop these diehard fans from catching the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
Heart opened the show with “Wild Child”, from their 1990 album Brigade. The first lyrics “It’s too late to turn back” seemingly appropriate after many successful years of making music. Immediately afterwards, Heart jumped into “Magic Man”, starting the crowd hysteria. Throughout the evening, Heart played a 14 song setlist playing many of their top 20 hits and two encore Led Zeppelin songs.
When you see a band like Heart with so much history, it’s tough to critique anything about the show. Musically, Ann and Nancy probably peaked many years ago; however, they both carried the event very well Thursday. This show was about the history and the music with good friends and good times. These two women, the first to front a rock and roll band are legends in the business.
