Rock and Brews breaks ground in The Colony

The Colony, TX – Gene Simmons took to the airwaves on Sunday to invite the public to the ground breaking of Rock and Brews newest location in The Colony.  Not only is Simmons passionate about KISS, he is also dedicated to providing local residents with a family-friendly restaurant that will make them feel like rock stars.  Several hundred fans came out to witness the ground breaking and catch a glimpse of the world famous Gene Simmons.

Simmons and his business partners spoke about the future Rock and Brews location scheduled to open in early 2016 in the Grandscape area, near Nebraska Furniture Mart. Simmons made it clear to the crowd that this is a true American establishment.  Restaurant employees, from managers to waiters to cooks will have daily mandatory 10:45 AM staff breaks to listen to the Star Spangled Banner by Jimmy Hendrix followed by the pledge of allegiance, Simmons said. He went on to explain that we can all cook at home but when we decide to go out we expect good service. Simmons said, “If any of our staff members don’t greet you politely, smile and give you good service, we fire their ass!”. For anyone that has ever waited for a refill or had a grumpy or inattentive server, this is a refreshing and welcome approach. Simmons emphasized that this will be family establishment where you can bring your dog, sit out on the patio and hangout. In addition, the restaurant will feature more than 25 craft beers on tap, including several local breweries that were represented at the ground breaking ceremony.

While the tented area was reserved for VIPs at today’s ground breaking, fans stood outside waiting  patiently. Those fans were delighted that Simmons left the tent and signed autographs and took photos.
